Health care is taking a careful look at the current swine flu issue, while many of us are wondering how to protect ourselves if there is an epidemic or pandemic of this flu. In America, the opinion is we have the most highly functioning health care system anywhere, so that’s where the explanation is as to why Mexico is facing such a huge problem in preserving life for it’s people. The results from the April poll, reported by Medical News Today say: 71% are for increasing taxation on high income Americans in order to pay for the health care reform, 36% missed doctor and dentist appointments due to increased costs, 26% have a household member who had difficulty paying health care bills last year, 59% indicate health care reform has become more important, and 67% strongly or somewhat favor a national health insurance plan in order to compete with private plans.
Health care and health insurance reform are obviously becoming much more important to the American people as the days pass. There are also a large number of Americans becoming more in debt with the rising cost of health care.
The lawmakers who are ready to send the health care reform through the process are very happy with these results. As the Kaiser poll indicates, there will be support from the majority, and with this support will be ability for them to push the sweeping reform through the process.
Polls are very subject to change depending on the whims of time. They give a good glimpse of current opinion but these opinions can change, especially if the economic crisis deepens.
